6 Exclusive Belgian Beers on offer at Lidl

When it’s gone… it’s gone. And these beers will go fast at Lidl. From Thursday 11th of June, Lidl will have 6 Exclusive Belgian Beers on offer. 6 different living beers with second fermentation in the bottle all brewed by Brewery Van Steenberge. Please be warned, most of the beers have a 10.5% ABV, these are some of the strongest Belgian Beers around! Even Belgian would only drink 1 or maybe 2 on an evening.

Lidl is currently no longer selling this box of Belgian beers, we can recommend this alternative Belgian Beer box. Psstt… you can also claim £5 off your order with code LIDLOFF.

Gulden Draak

Gulden Draak is named after the Golden statue at the top of the Belfry in Ghent. This dark creamy headed barley wine has a taste of alcohol, burnt malt and coffee, with a hoppy gentle touch. A real pleasure.

The Gulden Draak classic has won over 19 awards in recent years and his highly recommended by critics. In 2019 alone, the beer has won 3 x Gold, 3 x Silver and 1 x Bronze in various beer competitions such as World Beer Awards, European Beer Challenge, London Beer Competition, World Beer Challenge and more.

Gulden Draak 9000 Quadrupel

The recipe, on basis of 3 different kinds of malt added in a volume of 4 times the content in lager, provide the Gulden Draak 9000 Quadrupel with a deep golden amber colour and a fruity scent. Together with the smooth and subtle sweet taste ensures this a wonderfully accomplished bouquet.

Bornem Dubbel (Double)

Bornem Dubbel is a ‘lively’ abbey beer that, after its first fermentation, nicely evolves during its second fermentation in the bottle. Soft as velvet, this double warm darkbrown colour and burgundy undertones has a fruity base and hoppy aftertaste. Its creamy, rich and firm foam head crowns it.

Bornem Tripel

Bornem Tripel is a blond abbey beer of 9% content alcohol with refermention in the bottle. It tastes hoppy and full with an excellent sweet-bitter balance. Its pleasant scent and nice foam head make this beer a winner in its kind.

Piraat

This light, amber Piraat, with its full white head pleasantly overwhelms you with a bitter, spiced, malted and alcoholic aromatic mix.

Piraat has won a number of different awards at the 2019 London Beer Competition: best beer of the year, best beer by value and best beer by quality. Brewery Van Steenberge, has also won the brewery of the year award.

Piraat Tripel Hop

Piraat Tripel Hop has an equally exquisite taste as Piraat but combined with the finest hops.
